Pair of vintage large, pottery Lotte Bostlund table lamps in beautiful earth tones. Mottled chestnut brown colors with semi-gloss glaze. Beautifully proportioned lamps & shades. No labels on socket or makers marks. Original fiberglass shades with dark jute encircling exterior. 3-way socket takes standard screw-in bulb. Original white cord & polarized plug in good condition. Solid brass modern finials. Husband & wife team, Gunnar & Lotte Bostlund, studied design in Denmark and immigrated to Canada where they opened their lamp factory in 1956. New owners scaled down production & moved to Ohio, where the lamps are still produced today, though not with a mottled glaze. Pottery base height: 12.25 inches. Pottery base diameter: 10.5 inches. Height to top of harp: 25 inches. Shade height: 13.25 inches. Shade top diameter: 10.5 inches. Shade bottom diameter: 16.25 inches. Weight of lamp & shade: 11 lbs. Pottery in good condition with no cracks or chips. Shades in good condition. A little roughness along bottom fiberglass edge & some small pieces of twine missing around bottom edge. Interior fiberglass appears to have slightly yellowed. Brass hardware shows light tarnish. Original wiring & plug in good condition. Pottery making & glazing process may create subtle imperfections that are not considered damage.
