A pair of 1970s pottery lamps featuring a glossy saturated dark cobalt blue glaze and a classic ginger jar form. The lamps are mounted on solid turned wood bases. These are heavy large lamps with quality that is on par with Frederick Cooper and other high end manufacturers. Very good vintage condition. No cracks and no chips in the ceramic. Restored with new solid brass fittings and new electric components. There is a factory glaze skip on the bottom lip of one lamp. It’s not significant. I point it out so it’s not interpreted as a chip. One lamp has a patch of scratching on the lower backside. There is crazing in the glaze under bright light inspection, hard to see. There is wear to the finish on wood bases. Lots of reflections in the photos; this isn’t damage. The sockets can utilize a 3-way bulb for 3 different levels of light. 29 overall height to top of finial. 21 to top of the socket. 15.75 to top of ceramic. NO SHADES ARE INCLUDED. The shade seen is for display purposes only. The item “LG 29 h Vintage Pair Chinoiserie Asian Blue Pottery Ceramic Ginger Jar Lamps” is in sale since Sunday, May 5, 2019.
