A very interesting p. Art Deco polychrome table lamp. S (also used as Newell Posts which still have holes to use to anchor to post). From the 1930’s made by the Diamond Manufacturing Co. Of Cleveland, OH of cast iron and sporting a helpful Parrot at the top. Parrot is holding a ring in his beak which is attached his cage (light socket, and Mica shade which are very, very, rare to find because so fragile) and below the bird is an onyx ball, which is followed by more decorative cast iron and the base on which the switch resides. The lamp shows small amount of wear from age to the gold on the cast iron (most especially on the base). Measures 15″ tall, is 5″ x 4.75″ at the base, and is marked “Patent Applied for” underneath the bird and “3539 on the bottom. Note: I will insure ALL my lamps, NO extra charge to customer! The items we sell here at Papa & Nana’s Treasures come from many different sources (mainly Estates Sales) and are subject to show signs of age, use and wear. And also because we sell vintage items it is impossible for us to know if the item came from a smoke and/or pet free home. We want happy customers and will be more than happy to answer any question. Thank you for looking and look forward to doing business with you. I take GREAT pride in my feedback so PLEASE contact with any problems or concerns BEFORE you just leave feedback. Things can always be worked out! Be sure to add me to your favorites list. Check out my other items.
