Drip Glaze Lava Pottery Mid Century Urn Table Lamps Pair Vintage Green Blue. Lamps to top of sockets: 29.5. Lamps to top of finials: 40. Weight (not including cords): 11 lbs. This is not your average pair of drip glaze pottery lamps. Most are made from a single piece of pottery with a cheap metal base, but each of these are made from three different pieces of pottery and four different pieces of wood. The wood has a thin layer of plaster or gesso over it, and then painted black and green. The pottery has a green glazed background with a turquoise lava glaze over black that runs into a light blue. The pottery urns are 8.5 wide, and the bases are 9 x 9. They have been tested to make sure they work, and are set for three-way bulbs. There are several chips on the edges of the pottery, most likely because the glaze ran over and had to be grinded off. You can see that some are colored in to disguise them. The middle pottery piece was fired upside-down, which is why the drip glaze goes upwards. There are some rough spots around the top of that piece where you can see grinder marks. Also of note for the pottery are two red marks on one urn that are in permanent marker. I tried removing them with Goo Gone, but they didnt budge. There are also some chips and dings in the wood parts. The harps are new. The eyelets dont really fit over the harp rest, but the actual harp fits very well. _gsrx_vers_625 GS 6.9.7 (625).
